Belarusian photographer Yulia Gorodonski has an incredible collection of self-portraits. She gets inspired by her surroundings, films, music, props, and of course the way she’s feeling. She’s been working professionally for about a year, and her work has been featured in Chaos Magazine.
Yulia is currently based in Israel, and at the moment she’s finishing up a book of her fantastic self-portaits.

Some of the best pieces ive seen in a while. the matted color, old school almost yacht sun warmed and faded pictures, really compels me to see their presentation quality and excellence. fine self portraits, simple, clear and humble even.

Seems a little vain, no? They are beautiful pictures but in terms of the subject matter they don’t affect me. The second one yes, but the rest? They don’t tell me anything about her humanity… I don’t know what her purpose is.

These are pretty pictures but they don’t tell you anything about the artist beyond the physical… so I wouldn’t call them self-portraits.

Her photos are really good. What a little sad is; however, is how she makes use of her body to add an advantage or maybe people’s perception are that way. In any case looking at the photos she seems to be more talented and I really don’t like to see her flashing body all around the Internet but not the other photos of her..
