Written by Marius Troy on April 19th, 2010

Young French photographer Anne-Constance Frénoy started out as a dancer and model after having studied theatre and history of art and literature, before she moved over to photography. Her main sources of inspiration is art, music, 70′s aesthetics, love, nature, light and of course the female body curves. “I love the surprising light games on a female body  and the magic atmosphere it gives to a picture,” she says.

Anne-Constance is based in Paris, and her work has been featured in Mirage, as well as exhibitions. At the moment she is working on a diary of naked self-portraits, and a new story for Mirage.

Great stuff. Her photographs are quite authentic and pure. And I figure she’s very lucky and fortunate to do what she does.

  2. M. SAYS:

They look like porn pics though, like those you see in Playboy for example !
some of them, with less nudity, are not bad !
It’s strange that such pictures are taken by a woman cause the majority of the poses are vulger and not sensual at all !!!!

@M: I disagree with you. Her photographs may be disturbing by the poses but they have such a soft and warm expression that they are the opposite of porn. Not arousing but pure art. Wonderful.

    I do agree with M.
From a male prespective the pictures are good but it’s clear that most of them cross the line ! The mirage magazine itself claims to be a ” chic” porn magazine…

@M: I think is very narrow-minded to consider nudity as porn. More so if you think that a woman can’t make such photos. Porn or not. There is much more to see beyond tagging things as prude or vulgar.
