Los Angeles based photographer Jason Lee Parry has provided me with his latest story for Qvest, Easy Born Wild Ride, featuring the two beauties Masha Rudenko and Nadiya Chenko. Jason was featured on BTB for the first time back in April, and said this about what inspires him: “- Living in a tent in my living room and drinking whiskey for days on in, that’s when the ideas really start to flow. Or any kind of fort will do. 60s and 70s playboy mags, old motorcycle films, Jim Morrison’s Poetry, long road trips with little cash, recklessness, total freedom to be myself, Guy Bourdin, long walks at 3am, my beautiful humble woman, activities that have no meaning, bad weather, complete confidence without cockiness, being with people who do before they think, Very Small Towns and Villages, just doing shit that’s out of the ordinary.

The post also includes a video from the shoot.

27-year-old Sydney based photographer Guillaume Lechat started working as a photographer at the age of 20, fresh out of school: “- Before that I was to shy. Even after that I was still shy but I started taking pictures anyways. And I’ve got this really bad memory so that’s a good way to remember my life and people I met. My work is very autobiographical.

His work has been published in several respected publications, such as Oyster and Yen, but Guillaume doesn’t do it for the money or the fame. “I don’t work to be published, or for money. I work for myself. Even if my mum is proud when she sees my name in a magazine. She is pointing it and scream ‘That’s you! Here, that’s my son!’ That’s always funny, but annoying in the same time.

When asking him about his inspirations, he continues: “- Well.. I will say dogs running on the beach. No. I don’t know. It’s just a feeling I think.. I like simple things (I’m a simple guy), no artifice, no pretend. I let things come naturally to me. I never try to force myself, I think If you force yourself, you are not as inspired as if something comes naturally. There is no name for the best inspiration, it’s something you just feel. Also dogs running on the beach (naked dogs, no jackets…) and Justin Bieber because he has shiny hair.

At the moment he’s doing a lot of work for Oyster, and is featured in the new issue with a big story about badass teenagers: “- They go back to a lost school, we shot this near Sydney. The place is crazy, imagine a huge abandon school from the 90s, trashed and lost. Some guys built a skate ramp in a classroom!

I’m also working on different personal projects. I like to be prolific, but not too much. I try to be really bored too, and it’s hard, but when I become bored I start to think about what I really want to do and then i become productive. I suppose i just need to be bored and feel bad and then escape to the boredness with ideas and hope. It s all about balance.

Guillaume has worked in both LA and Paris, but is now enjoying life in Sydney: “- I live in this little wood house in a quiet street, I wake up with birds… Some of them are loud talkers but we are all friends.

19 year old Phillip Duc is based in Melbourne, and has been shooting for about three years now. He says he’s inspired by cinema photography and culture, and adds: “- What really gets me going is serene, peaceful, tranquil and sometimes depressing environments. If i had to name a photographer it would be Ryan McGinley, because he lives life accordingly through his photographs.

His work hasn’t been published anywhere yet as he just lately started promoting it. I have a feeling we will see more of it in the future.

At the moment he is working on a project called ‘Kinrid Spirits’: “- ‘kindrid spirits’ depicting the relation between humans and animals and how we have been corrupted by technology.

Ben Trovato Blog is now over one year of age, and ever since the launch it has been a pleasure to promote the great work of the many aspiring fashion photographers in the industry! And hopefully there’s many to come. A big thanks to all the photographers, the readers, and all the people that are promoting the blog around the web, this couldn’t have been done without any of you. Being inspired by everything from mystical nuances, the female psyche, and the southern gothic, to crumbling wealth, sexuality and death, Macon (GA) based Logan White creates fantastic photography that can’t be put into just one category. Spanish fashion photographer Diego Diaz is based in Florence, but says his biggest inspiration is his hometown, Màlaga, in Spain. “The light, the colours and the lifestyle of Málaga is something I always try to present in my photos,” he says.

His photography has been featured in C-heads Magazine and on various websites around the web, and at the moment he’s working for a brand called Shield Collection with some really exciting projects.

He’s a master of colour, and I love his warm style.

I just stumbled over 16 (!) year old San Diego based photographer Jacqueline Rivera’s flickr photostream. And although this isn’t fashion photography, I find her techniques and creativity highly inspirational.

Katja Rahlwes has been in the fashion business for decades, and started her career as a professional fashion stylist in 1995 after having studied Fashion Design at Studio Bercot in Paris. In 1998 she became chief-fashion editor and photo-editor at BIBA, a major market fashion magazine in Paris. At the same time, she continued to expand her vision as an independent stylist with magazines like Dutch, i-D, Dazed and Confused, Made in USA, Vogue Japan, Index and others. Throughout those years at BIBA she would live a parallel life as a professional stylist and part-time photographer. She said it was, “like having a husband and a lover.” In the first years she mainly shot women she wanted to meet and spend time with. Photography had a very important impact on Rahlwes, and made her feel free and independent in her work. [Wikipedia]

Now you can see her work in magazines like French Vogue, Vogue Nippon, Vogue US, Self Service, Purple fashion, i-D, etc. And she has done work for clients such as Gucci, Miu Miu, Chloé, A.P.C., Martin Margiela, Hysteric Glamour, Levi’s, and others.

Bottom line, her photos are great, here’s a taste of her work:

Deborah Schwartz represented Jason Nocito has a portfolio full shots of superstars and artists. What I like with his photography is the way he translates his own style in to the shoots of great personalities like Lil Wayne, Kanye West or Mary Kate Olsen.

Here’s a taste of his work:
