Spanish fashion photographer Diego Diaz is based in Florence, but says his biggest inspiration is his hometown, Màlaga, in Spain. “The light, the colours and the lifestyle of Málaga is something I always try to present in my photos,” he says.

His photography has been featured in C-heads Magazine and on various websites around the web, and at the moment he’s working for a brand called Shield Collection with some really exciting projects.

He’s a master of colour, and I love his warm style.

Here’s some of his work:

Herring & Herring has once again provided me with a killer editorial. Zink Magazine’s March issue features “Bound”, an editorial with models Damaris Lewis (Elite), Julia Goncharenko (Elite), Anais Pouliot (Trump), and Clara Settje (Trump). Herring & Herring is a collaboration between Russian art director Dimitri Scheblanov and Danish photographer Jesper Carlsen, and they have been working together ever since they met in New York 2008.

London and Los Angeles based fashion photographer Zoe Zimmer finds herself inspired by different eras in history, 60’s, 70’s 80’s – particularly in America, and has found herself lately a little obsessed with the fashion industry in the early 90’s. Her work is about to be published in Fault Magazine and Idol Magazine, she’s shooting on spec for Zink, Ribbed and The Collective, and she was recently interviewed by British Vogue.

Being only 22 years old, she has been doing photography for just over a year. But she is not in any way unfamiliar with the camera, as she started out as a model at a young age, and gained a lot of experience through that. Her pictures show just that, and I was totally blown away the first time I came over her portfolio. I’m so excited to see what she’ll bring us in the future!

Here’s some of her work:

Something very important you need to know about Frank is that Frank does not take photos of pretty girls against pretty backdrops. Frank shoots reality.

Melbourne based photographer She Is Frank is inspired by her own fears and emotions. She’s presenting women who exist in a messed up world, but still remain strong and beautiful. Her models are indulging in her fears. Fears about being alone, about living in a world with no water, about being killed, about always being watched, about pissing of mother nature with all our environmental crimes, about our obsession with watching tragic events on the news and about the junk we put in our bodies.

Being at the early stages of her career, she’s rapidly building up an impressive portfolio, and I can’t wait to see what she will bring us in the future. Here’s some of here work:

Young French fashion photographer Alexandre Brunet got his first camera when he was eight, and hasn’t stopped shooting since. Having studied photography for three years, he decided to step in to the wonderful world of fashion photography less than a year ago. His inspirations vary from social photojournalism by Martin Parr, or more personal works by Nan Goldin, to portraits by Richard Avedon, or offbeat fashion stories by Guy Bourdin, Terry Richardson, Juergen Teller and Katja Rahlwes. His work has been featured in magazines such as WAD and Dedicate Magazine, and I have a feeling we’ll see alot more of his work in the future.

adrid based fashion photographer Ruben Vega has shot for magazines such as Spanish Vogue, Vanidad, and NEo2. Being aware of the world around him he finds inspiration almost everywhere, but he mentions music, films, the nature, and light to be major contributors to his inspiration. Right now Ruben is preparing for an exhibition of his personal work in Madrid, while doing fashion and celebrity projects for magazines. Besides that he’s trying to do as many model tests as possible, as he loves doing them.

I think Ruben’s work is great, and I tell ya, check out his portfolio, because what I give you is just a taste of it:

Fashion photographer Paul PJ Cheng just moved from Milan, and will soon be based in Shanghai. Paul finds the work of past photographers very inspiring, such as Erwin Blumfield’s work, but he often finds himself inspired by the work of photographers today, especially Ryan McGinley’s work. Further on he mentions Italian, French, and Japanese films to be very inspiring.

Paul has been working as a photographer on and off for about six years, and he has worked for clients such as Appendix, Glamour Paris, and Elle. Other than some photography classes i high school, Paul is pretty much self taught.

Personally, I love Paul’s work, and he only makes it better by being such a great guy. I wish him all the best, and truly believe he has a great future ahead of him.

Here’s a selection of some of his work:

Trondheim (Norway) based fashion photographer Lena Johnsen’s style is light, playful, and colourful. She uses the internet for inspiration, but finds herself often inspired by music or a film. When shooting, she prefers location. For me, her diversity is her strength, and I can’t wait to see more of her work in the future.

The collaboration between Russian art director Dimitri Scheblanov and Danish photographer Jesper Carlsen results in great fashion stories. They call their partnership Herring & Herring, and they have been working together ever since they met in New York 2008. In the upcoming issue of D Mode they have made the cover story Yesterday, which I just love. Not only is Ashley Smith the right model, but the concept and feel of the whole story is so good.
