Up and coming fashion photographer Elena Jasic has been working as a professional for about a year, and has had her work published in publications such as Blic (Serbia), Gradanski List (Serbia), and Prim Magazine. Her main sources of inspiration are her own taste in fashion, as well as her frequent visits to Eastern Europe.

Being based in Philadelphia, Elena’s collaborating with independent designers, aspiring models and make up artists at the moment, to gain valuable exposure through print publications.

Here’s some of her work:

Paris based Cécile Bortoletti has a love for experimenting with all sorts of techniques, using several different cameras and films, and even mixing analog and digital. She has been working professionally as a fashion photographer for about 10 years, and her work has been published in magazines such as Elle, Dazed & Confused, Self Service, Purple, Jalouse, Above, Crash, Studio Voice, and Nikkei among others.

At the moment Cécile is working on a new story with stylist Claire Sibille and Romanian-Canadian model Irina Lazareanu, for Please Magazine: “Irina is one of my favorite models, we share the same vision, which happens to be very important to me.

Here’s some of her work, including a preview of her latest story “Jeunes Filles” for Sleek Magazine:

Los Angeles and New York City based fashion photographer Andrew Kuykendall has been working professionally for about two and a half years now, after trying out as an assistant first. “I got kicked out of art school in LA a few years ago and started assisting. I hated that and realized I had to do it myself,” he says. Since that his work has been published in magazines such as Oyster, Zoot, Celeste, Mirage, Material Girl, Qvest, Nico, Soma, Kult, Culture, Thrasher and I love Fake.

His list of sources of inspirations is long, but definitely one of the most interesting ones: “Egon Schiele, David Lynch, Tom Waits, Eastern Europe, road tips, Sushi, , the California/Nevada desert, Milan Kundera, pugs, hot sauce, Devo Lucien Freud, Henry Miller, vintage clown paintings, Glen Luchford, Scandinavian Black Metal, etc.”

What are you working on at the moment? Video projects are very exciting at the moment. It’s just something new to play with and figure out so that’s fun. I also just finished a book of my Polaroids over the last 10 years. It’s very sexy and fun and everyone should buy one for their coffee tables. And if they don’t have coffee tables they should buy one anyways.”

Here’s some of his great work, including two of his videos:

I am very excited to introduce to you up and coming photographer/director Lyall Coburn. The talented South African is often collaborating on projects with his girlfriend Leanie Van Der Vyver, planning to work full time as film directors in the future. He’s inspired by everything from his girlfriend and his talented friends, to films that defy genre, sex, darkness, and the ocean.

His photo diary is a pleasure to scroll through, and it’s obvious that this guy has an incredible eye for photography. He has never worked professionally, and his photography hasn’t been published anywhere. Before now. Ben Trovato Blog is the first to feature his work! Introducing the dark and mysterious story “MurMur”:

Los Angeles based photographer Tyler Shields has been working professionally for about seven years now, after he broke into the industry 20 years old. His interest in photography stemmed from his original job of directing music videos. Shield’s success in the field of photography grew as his Myspace page and personal website drew attention from a number of famous actors and musicians. Now his work has been published all over the place, including Rolling Stone and Vogue Italia. “I just try to show people the way i see the world,” he says when I ask him about his inspirations. And after seven years of pushing the boundaries, he’s still creating breath taking and thought provoking work. “At the moment I am working on the book the dirty side of glamor and I’m also having something new coming out May 3rd that will be insane, I am very excited about it!”

Until then, let’s enjoy some of his current work, here’s some of it:

Swiss photographer Roger Weiss has been working professionally for about three years, but started experimenting with photography already at an early age. He Graduated with excellence from Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan, and since then his work has been published in publications such as Zink, Posh, WWD, Twill and Kult.

His curiosity of the human form lead him to an artistic approach. Today, he continues as artist and fashion photographer, and I must say his work is amazing all over the line, across disciplines. At the moment he’s working on a project called “Project 35″, and this is how he describes it: “In Project 35 it is bodies who make up reality: 35 naked female bodies meticulously photographed in their primeval condition to look as real as possible – and surprisingly so.

This extraordinary resemblance to the truth is achieved by means of a special technique: each image is composed of 47,244 X 32,864 pixels per inch, equivalent to 400 X 278 cm printable area at 300 dpi, while – for reasons of better perception – the works will be executed as 230 x 160 cm True Giclée Fine Art Prints protected under plexiglass and displayed all together.

No distraction is allowed in front of these bodies: in their presence, any feeling of attraction, repugnance, bewilderment, excitement or banal initial curiosity fades away as one gets physically closer to the work, to its outspoken essentiality.”

n based fashion photographer Jessie Craig got into the industry in September 2008 after having edged her way in during her four years at art school. Her work has already been published by publications such as Clash, Dirrty Glam, Vanity Teen, Grazia UK, Contributor Magazine, PUSH IT, Magnificent Magazine, and Milk X Monthly. Last fall she was finalist in the Dazed & Confused Blog Awards, and recently she had some work featured on ELLE.com. She’s not stopping there, because this week she started getting the wheels in motion on a collaborative project that will feature some of London’s best new models of the season. She’s also putting together ideas for a cover shoot with an actress next month.

She’s inspired by paintings and films that have an escapist quality, as well as the subjects she shoots, and she describes her style as “comfortable with a dash of whatever my mood is that day.” All I know is that I love her work, and here’s a taste of it:

New York based Karine Basilio has been working professionally for about ten years, and her work has been published in publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Zink, Vip and Criativa.

She finds herself inspired by different sorts of art forms, as well as movies and music. At the moment she’s working on something she describes as “a wild bikini shoot“, so keep an eye on her, because her work is amazing.

Being inspired by everything from mystical nuances, the female psyche, and the southern gothic, to crumbling wealth, sexuality and death, Macon (GA) based Logan White creates fantastic photography that can’t be put into just one category. Her work ranges from lifestyle and fashion, to more artistic photography.

Her work has been published in publications like Vice Magazine, Nylon Magazine, and Blackpool Magazine, and she recently shot the Urban Outfitters’ Spring/Summer lookbook 2010. At the moment shooting and editing a lot of personal work for a solo show she has coming up in Macon, GA on March 24th at Mercer University.

Here’s some of up and coming Logan White’s work:

New York based Fernando Lahoz and Walker Brockingtong started collaborating just a year ago, when they met in a music venue in the Lower East Side and decided to combine their ideas of imaginary and create something together. With Brockington having a strong background in figure painting and Lahoz having worked in big advertising agencies all around the globe, they formed a harmonic team that would pursuit work within art and fashion.

Our work finds inspiration in urban spaces and the lives of individuals in these spaces: it could be a contemporary interpretation of a ‘greek god’ living in NY, the romantic story of two beautiful women at the door of a theater, or the afternoon with a rebel teenager,” they say when describing what inspires them.

Their work has already been published in magazines such as Vanidad, MilkShake, VV, and Paper Planes, and at the moment they’re shooting a lot for magazines in Europe as well as working on an advertising campaign for a well-known fashion brand in New York.

Here’s some of Lahoz (Art Direction) & Brockington’s (Photography) work:
